Mr. OLANIHUN Joseph Olumayowa was born in Ogun State, South West Nigeria. He completed his secondary education at the Ijebu-Ode Grammar school, Ogun State, Nigeria in 1982. Thereafter, he attended the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro (1983 – 1985) and the University of Benin, Nigeria (1986 – 1989) from where he earned a national diploma and bachelors degree respectively in Business Administration. He also attended the Ladoke Akintola University in Ogbomoso, Nigeria and obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration. Mr. Olanihun has attended several programs in entrepreneurship development, Project / programs development and management in Nigeria including the ones managed by the Department for International Development (DFID / CBDD). He has also attended several programs / courses abroad.
Mr. Mayowa Olanihun, a chartered management consultant is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Chartered, Institute of Strategic Management, National Institute of Marketing and the Institute of Directors, Nigeria.
Mr. Olanihun has released some publications and also made special contribution to others which include Small and Medium Enterprises Development: Lessons of Experience of an Entrepreneur – (A publication of the Commonwealth secretariat, London / West Africa Management Development Institutes Network, Badagry, Lagos state, Nigeria) and Business and Career – (A monthly magazine devoted to churning out quality, rich and well researched articles that will help entrepreneurs and career seekers achieve long lasting business and career fulfillment). Mr Olanihun served as a member of the Planning Committee of the Nigeria Economic Summit (NES 10), 2003. He also served as a member of the planning and implementation team of the Nigeria Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) Project (From 1995 to 2002).

Mr. Olanihun is currently the Assistant Director, Corporate Services Department of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Olanihun is married with children.
